2013 is here and the national final is getting closer, how do you feel right now?
We’re just finished with the recordings of my song; it’s getting mastered in Canada this moment. The Production of a song is always a very exciting process. If the producer translates the ideas I have in mind or even makes it better
I am the happiest on Earth!

What made you enter in this selection? How did it all begin?
The ORF invited me, cause they are following my carrier in Europe.

How would you describe as an artist?
Music is my lifestyle. I don't know how to describe myself as an artist.. Performance wise I'm down to earth on and off stage.. (and too serious ;))

I read on your biography that you were/are a ski instructor. Is there any difference or similarity bewteen Falco the singer and Falco the ski instructor?
Being a Ski instructor is also being an entertainer. As Ski instructor  I try to ease fears of people like fear of height, speed en I try to give my pupils a comfortable feeling on the snow.  I think there’s not really a difference between Falco the skiing instructor or Falco the singer, cause I try to do my job as best as possible and again I'm the same person on and off stage and on the 'Piste' :))

We don’t know anything about the songs that are going to compete in the Austrian final. I don’t know if you can tell me the name of the song but I guess you can tell me something about it. When did you start working on the song?
We started working on it about three weeks ago, so it’s a brand new song.

What is the song about?
On the 14th the ORF will present the song.. but It's a beautiful song describing a love which is so big..the song is produced from small to a big universal feeling

Describe your song with 4 words
Passion, Freedom, Love, Fiction

Did you start preparing the performance? What can you tell me about that?
To me the most important thing is that the music is central and stays close to my person. I will put all of my energy and love into my performance carrying out the great lyrics.

What do you think about the other artists that are going to compete with you in the selection?
They’re all stunning artists, 5 different music styles, 5 different characters so it’s gonna be exciting what Austria will choose…

What do you like about Eurovision?
I think it’s an awesome and unique ‘come together’ of all nations and cultures every year. The ESC is a commendable example that music is a bonding language. It’s a credible platform where I can introduce my music to a massive audience

What do you dislike about Eurovision?
Every act of course tries to do something outstanding, never done before…but I think sometimes ‘less is more’ and especially don’t try to imitate some one else.

You have a connection with The Netherlands right? What do you think about the selection of Anouk as their Eurovision 2013 entry?
Anouk is ‘The Rockdiva’ of The Netherlands. Unique voice, charism and great performance

Did you watch Eurovision 2012? What do you think about the winner and the songs from Austria and The Netherlands?
Loreen’s Euphoria was brilliant and she really deserved to win. Joan Franka’s song I also liked to be honest but the performance didn’t touch me. The Trackshitter’s did a strange and conspicuous act but I didn’t like the song.

What can you tell me about "YEARS FROM NOW"?
‘Years From Now’ is my very first album. It’s some kind of diary of my life…lot’s of lyrics about who I was, who I am and about what’s yet to come. I love the 70s guitar sound mixed up with modern pop rock and a little rough voice.

Do you have a message for the Eurovision fans?
Ladies and Gentlemen, I’m really looking forward to the ESC, pls keep your fingers crossed and support me. Hope to see you in Malmö!
